Emergencies

If you have an emergency, go to the emergency room or call 911. If you go to the emergency room when it’s not an emergency, you may have to pay for the visit.

An emergency is a medical problem that you think is very serious. For example,

If you are not sure if your problem is an emergency, call your PCP or call 24 Hour Nurse Hotline at 1-800-283-3221

If you have an emergency you can go to the emergency room without getting permission from your PCP.
